Georgina Jardim

Georgina Jardim is originally from southern Africa and has been living and working in the UK for more than 15 years. She is interested in thinking through and talking about issues that challenge faith, such as gender and world religions. Georgina has lectured at a variety of Christian institutions, for example All Nations Christian College and Bristol Baptist College. She is a Fellow of the Centre for Muslim-Christian Studies Oxford and lecturer at Redcliffe College. She read Islamic Studies at the University of Johannesburg and completed an MA Ethics at the North West University of South Africa before moving to the UK with her family to take up a studentship at the University of Gloucestershire. Georgina’s doctorate explored the voice of female characters in the Qur’an and was published as Recovering the Female Voice in Islamic Scripture: Women and Silence (2014).
