Mark Beaumont

MA (Edinburgh), BD (London), PhD (Open University)

Mark Beaumont completed his PhD at OCMS in 2003, which was published by Regnum as "Christology in Dialogue with Muslims" in 2005, and re-issued in 2011. He is currently Senior Lecturer in Islam and Mission at the London School of Theology. Mark has published four articles in Transformation on Christian dialogue with Muslims on Christ, the Trinity and the Prophet Muhammad, and chapters in each of David Singh's trilogy on Jesus published by Regnum, "Jesus and the Cross", "Jesus and the Incarnation" and "Jesus and the Resurrection". He has contributed several entries related to the Muslim reception of Biblical themes to the "Encyclopaedia of the Bible and its Reception" published by De Gruyter.  He is completing, with Maha El-Kaisy Friemuth, an Arabic edition and English translation of a debate about the divinity of Christ attributed to the famous Muslim theologian al-Ghazali, which is due to be published by Brill. Mark is concluding his work at London School of Theology in June, 2016.
